Fiji to Vanuatu

We departed Musket Cove with a brisk wind forecast, leaving the reef we had steady winds of 30 knots with gust to 35 and had 3 reefs in the main. A romping sail for the first 24 hours followed by a dying breeze which gave us the opportunity to fly the Stingray and enjoy some downwind sailing with Gin & Tonics on the foredeck to watch the sun go down - no green flash observed…

The naviguessor (Nicki) kept us right through to Tanna in Vanuatu - as we approached Tanna in the early hours  of the morning we could see the glow of the volcano on the island illuminating the clouds - rather Lord of the Ringsesque….

Arrival into Port Resolution was greeted by a rainbow over the hills. We are scheduled to climb the volcano this evening so no doubt there will be more photos to follow
